The acceptance testing was conducted alongside Spatial’s Project Manager Shaun Turton and Automation Engineer Darwin Jay Torano, confirming the device’s readiness for delivery and installation.
The trainer incorporates an A320 family main door and two over-wing exits, enabling cabin crew to train on both the classic plug-type exit and the automatic gull-wing exit used on the A321neo aircraft.
The device also integrates Spatial’s Virtual Slide Trainer, providing interactive slide deployment scenarios across multiple environments including water, land, runway and apron conditions.
Following completion of factory acceptance testing, the trainer will be installed at Iberia’s training base at CAE in Madrid where it will support cabin crew training across a range of safety and emergency procedures.
Spatial would like to thank the Iberia team for their collaboration throughout the project.
