New Door Trainer Ready for Qantas / Jetstar Cabin Crew Training in Melbourne
Installation milestone confirms operational readiness of a new Narrow Body Door Trainer supporting cabin crew training.
Melbourne, Australia. Spatial has successfully completed the Site Acceptance Test (SAT) for a Narrow Body Door Trainer delivered to the Qantas / Jetstar training programme, with testing finalised in November 2025 at the Qantas Flight Training Centre in Melbourne.
The SAT process confirmed that the training device had been fully installed and commissioned in accordance with operational specifications, ensuring readiness for cabin crew training activities.
The testing was conducted with Spatial Project Manager Sampson Ulasevich working alongside Paul Criticos, Senior Instructor Aviation Safety at Qantas, marking the final stage of the device’s deployment following factory acceptance testing and installation.
The Door Trainer provides a realistic environment for practising aircraft door operation and associated safety procedures, supporting cabin crew training across normal and emergency scenarios.
Completion of the SAT represents an important milestone in the project, confirming that the device is fully operational and ready to support Qantas and Jetstar cabin crew training programmes.
Spatial would like to thank the Qantas and Jetstar teams for their collaboration and support throughout the installation and commissioning process.
